Six years and countless gigs later this Irish metal quartet must be doing something right! Metallitia have continually brought Metallica\'s finest moments to an eager and hungry public. This band wasn\'t formed because it was a chance to make a quick buck off a really popular outfit, this was from a pure love of Metallica\'s music and how much this music changed the face of metal and inspired the members of Metallitia to become the proficient players that they are. For the moment Metallitia will continue infecting peoples minds with all things Metallica. If you are in any doubt then come to a show, crack open a beer and let the metal do the talking. MICRONITE Presents Jachoozi with Chris Moore(Upstairs)
win = new Window('window_id', {className: "alphacube", title: "Gig Information @ www.dolanspub.com", width:600, height:300});
win.getContent().innerHTML = "<h4> €7 before 11:30pm - €10 after
Saturday 4th July Upstairs @ Dolans looks set to be a unmissable gig, with popular club-night Micronite hosting a live band for the very first time. Hailing from Berlin, deliciously cool three-piece Jahcoozi play Ireland for the very first time, in our nation\'s party capital, Limerick.
Jahcoozi are a mash up operation who have consistently managed to deliver their very own mongrel style of electronic pop music. Their unique and ever-changing blend of avant-dub-glitch-step based sound succeeds in combining honest, communicative pop sensibilities with warm sub-basses and a crunchy, precise yet organic sound texture. With two full-length albums and numerous EPs, Picture Discs, remixes and features to their name, Jahcoozi have released music on various international labels such as Kitty-Yo, Asound, Playhouse, Ninja Tune, Bpitch, Citizen Records; Crosstown Rebels, 1965 and WMF Records just to name a few.
Over the years, Jahcoozi have collaborated with a wide range of artists including Modeselektor, Asian Dub Foundation, Stereotyp, M Sayiid (Anti-Pop Consortium), Buraka Sound Sistema, MC Soom-T, Missill, RQM, Lexie Lee, Ata & Sasse, Cassy, Luomo, Siriusmo, Lethal B, Kano, JME, Skepta, New Flesh, Infinite Livez, Alhaca Soundsystem, Puppetmastaz, Hannah Holland, Chris De Luca vs. Phon.o, Rustie, DJ Maxximus, Mochipet & King Cannibal.
The Jahcoozi live show is a fairly unpredictable experience. They tend to play a variety remixes, versions or bootlegs of their own songs as well as other unreleased material they\'ve made purely for love and fun of ripping up the dance floor.
This will truly be one of the unforgettable gigs of the Summer.

win.getContent().innerHTML = "<h4> PADDY CASEY
Live at Dolans July 11th 2009
One of the most successful Irish acts of recent years will play a VERY intimate show here in Dolans Warehouse on Saturday 11th July.
Paddy will be playing all the hits from his previous albums alongside new material which he is working on in the studio at the moment….will there be a new album this year? We will just have to wait and see….
Paddy is one of those rare things…a musician who truly lives to play music. It fills his life, completes him as a person. It is an energy within him which exerts its own powerful force. That is beyond question. His debut album, Amen (So Be It), released in 1999 caused a huge stir, became a bona fide double platinum hit in Ireland and introduced him to the world with a bang as a highly talented singer-songwriter. And a decade on he is still going strong.
Paddy has sold in excess of 218,000 albums, (14 x platinum ) making him one of the most successful musicians performing in Ireland today. The past few years have seen Paddy rise from playing small venues in Dublin, to headline shows at the RDS and Dublin Castle, performing in front of thousands at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and supporting U2 in Europe and in Croke Park, Dublin.
In fact, ‘Living’ alongside U2’s ‘How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb’, were the best selling albums in Ireland in 2004, outselling all other albums, both domestic and international.
Paddy Casey is back... There\'s a sparkle in his eyes that sits side by side with a gritty determination and a will to succeed; and to win. But more importantly, there is the knowledge that he is a musician through and through.
Don’t miss your chance to catch him Live @ Dolans with his talented band on Saturday July 11th. Doors at 8pm and Tickets including booking are €18…

Ollie Cole(Upstairs)

win.getContent().innerHTML = "<h4> Ollie Cole is former front man of TURN. Ollie is based in Dublin, where he writes, records, plays and promotes his music full-time. Ollie has a range of influences from The Shins, Brendan Benson, Bright eyes, Elliott Smith, The Beatles and Neil Young. Turn formed in 1998 when Ollie as lead singer/guitarist and drummer Ian Melady joined forces with Dublin bass player Gavin Fox, who they met at a Dublin recording studio. Turn went onto huge success both at home and abroad and released three albums Antisocial (2000), Forward (2003) and Turn LP (2005) on Setanta Records.
In the musically bustling city of Dublin, new singer-songwriters pop up on a daily basis, but few earn any lasting attention. Ollie however has been an exception, gathering momentum steadily since his departure from Turn in 2006. Ollie\'s combination of true musicianship and consistently compelling song writing has earned him the respect of fellow artists and the enthusiastic support of audiences wherever he plays.
Most importantly he\'s been recording his debut solo album. Ollie with the help of Gavin Fox, Graham Hopkins and other music friends recorded the album during the course of 2008. The album is called \"We Albatri\" and is due for release during the summer of 2009. Turn\'s music had featured in many films and International TV shows such as One Tree Hill, and therefore it was no surprise that Big Life (Klaxons, Badly Drawn Boy, and The Verve etc) signed Ollie to a publishing deal. Ollie will be releasing an E.P and touring in early 2009. These gigs will feature Turn hits and new solo material which will provide audiences a preview of what is no doubt going to be a cracking album! </h4>";

\"Mail Order Messiahs blaze an intriguing and distinctive trail with their slow, majestic and liberally embellished hybrid of electro, folk and soul. The music is marked by moments of startling beauty and the overall effect is ethereal and otherworldly, but undoubtedly compelling and arresting at the same time\". - Hot Press
Mail Order Messiahs are Dar Fahy and Mike Liffey an alternative-electronic 2 piece based in Dublin. The ideas for \"Par Avion EP\" were written whilst they were living in different parts of the country, sending lyrics, demos, mixes and rewrites back and forth in the mail. This method of working has given these musical pen pals an original sound, as their distinct ideas evolved and fused over time, space and postcodes. The songs feature evocative harmonies and layered acoustic guitars, underpinned by synths and electronic beats. The lyrics range from sardonic to heartfelt and back again, sometimes within the space of a single line. Par Avion EP was produced by Jimmy Eadie (Jape, Redneck Manifesto, Si Schroeder).

Practically all hailing from Limerick — save one token Galwegian — The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra\'s music is a blend of warm vocal harmonies, classy instrumentation. Having had a busy 2008 playing festivals such as The Electric Picnic and Flatlake, The BPLO caught the attention of both Paul McLoone and Alison Curtis in Today FM with their joyful winter single \'December’. They went on to record a session for the McLoone show and, when she was interviewed by The Irish Times, Alison Curtis tipped them as a band to watch in 2009.
Expansive instrumentation coupled with a dark, wry wit The (very well dressed) Brad Pitt Light Orchestra produce an unmissable vibrant, life-affirming, live experience.

win.getContent().innerHTML = "<h4> Túcan, an instrumental acoustic guitar duo comprises of two members, Donal Gunne and Pearse Feeney. They incorporate a wide and varied range of styles into their playing; from classical and 60’s rock to heavy metal and jazz. They have been playing together since 1999 though they only started to perform live in 2003 as the first four years were spent building the solid musical foundation they felt they required. Their sound is definitely coloured by the fact that neither has any formal musical training and they prefer rather to develop their skills through keen ears and an insatiable love for music.
They first met through mutual friends in a local Sligo establishment when Donal was 16 and Pearse was 17. Both shared a passion for music and found a common interest in bands such as The Doors, Thin Lizzy and Alice in Chains. On a meeting for a second time at a party they decided to form a band. Over the next three yeas their musical interests evolving to include such bands as Metallica and Kíla and other styles of guitar such as classical, flamenco, Latin and jazz. They took their music on the road spending their summers busking in Europe. This first brought them to Barcelona where they played on Las Ramblas. This would finally bring them to Prague where they lived for the first time as professional musicians.
On returning to Ireland they played the open-mic circuits in Dublin and Sligo while studying their respective University courses. They played on occasion with two classically trained violinists from Dublin during these times. The two\'s interests soon led them to such acoustic guitar legends as Paco de Lucia, Al di Meola, and Django Reinhardt who have given the pair direction and inspiration as well as improving their technical abilities. Their interests also broadened to Frank Zappa and heavy metal groups such as Tool. Listening to such music has definitely given a more progressive, experimental feel to their later compositions. </h4>";

win.getContent().innerHTML = "<h4> AFTER 7 TOP TEN HITS IN THE IRISH CHARTS, & 2 MULTI PLATINUM SELLING ALBUMS
\"AT LAST\"
\"BRENDAN KEELEY GOESINTERNATIONAL\"
www.brendankeeley.de
www.brendankeeley.com
Heralded as\"one of the best songwriters ever to come out of Ireland\",
“ NEWSFLASH”
Brendan has just been signed to Spectra Records to release his albums through USA & Canada.
Brendan Keeley lends himself to the prime group of Irish artists, that give Ireland a place of pride and prominence in the music world. Keeley\'s latest album \"AT LAST\" is absolutly sensational. It is a class culmination of many years of songwriting experience.All of the best hits, which have previously stormed the Irish charts,can be found on \"AT LAST\". They are accompanied by stunning new songs, which we will be hearing for the first time.
\"AT LAST\" is certain to enjoy phenomenal success that seems to come with every Keeley release - be it a single or an album!
Always seeking new heights, Brendan will hit the International stage with \"AT LAST\" this autumn.There has already been evidence of Keeley\'s music appealing to audiences further afield! A South African band covered Keeley\'s hit song \"Wishing\" and it entered the charts in South Africa. His track record indicates that international audiences will be seduced by the power and appeal of his music.
In truth, success has followed success for Brendan Keeley since his first release \"I\'ll always be lonely\" in 1995. So where did the roots of this success take place?
Like many of our presently internationally acclaimed Irish artists, for example, Christy Moore, or Paul Brady, Brendan Keeley\'s music career started in the Irish Bar Circuit. It was the beginning of a dream coming true.....
With some experience and an unyeilding love for music, Keeley decided to take the jump across the Irish Sea -and introduce himself to the London Scene.
The band was called Shanty Dam and the venues were many of London\'s prime live music spots. Shanty Dam revelled in a huge following, during their years in London, packing in thousands of enamoured fans every weekend. The seeds were sown for what was to become Brendan Keeley\'s unparallelled songwriting career.
Brendan returned to Ireland with the intention of launching his music career. Despite, it being impossible to find a record company that was willing to give this promising but yet unestablished artist a break, Keeley forged ahead. Undeterred and forever focused on his dream, Keeley released \"I\'ll always be lonely\"under his own label.This hit song stayed in the Irish charts for a staggering 6 months.
In 1995, Brendan released his first album; following his second hit \"Take the chains away\". In its first week, this fantastic album named after the first hit single went platinum. A phenomenal start which was only a sign of things to come for Brendan Keeley.
His second album \"Miss you Tonight\" was released in 1997. This album also enjoyed \"platinum\" success. It included more hit songs such as \"Does he really love you\", which rocketed to #4 in the Irish charts,to be followed by another smash hit \"Hands to Heaven\".
Brendan Keeley was also nominated for 2, I.R.M.A. awards (Brit Equiv). Furthermore, he won a \"National Entertainment Award\" for best new music.
Brendan formed and is currently musical director O the “Tullamore Gospel Choir” which is the largest of its kind in the country boasting a staggering 126 members.
Against a backdrop of an ever-evolving music stage, Brendan Keeley has chalked up hit after hit, success after success, proving himself to be a durable and timeless musician.
\"I\'ll always be lonely\" is just one of 12 amazing tracks from \"At Last\" being relaesed in the UK very soon
\"AT LAST\" gives us a chance to lose ourselves in the \"heart and soul\" of Brendan Keeley.

The band are set to release their latest album before the tour kicks off. Editors returned in 2007 with An End Has A Start, the follow up to their highly acclaimed debut The Back Room. Recorded in Ireland at Grouse Lodge with Garret Lee and mixed at Olympic Studios by Cenzo Townshend, the album saw the same team behind the re-recorded version of Bullets set to work on an entire collection of Editors work with stunning results.

Tom McRae(Warehouse)
win = new Window('window_id', {className: "alphacube", title: "Gig Information @ www.dolanspub.com", width:600, height:300});
win.getContent().innerHTML = "<h4> British singer-songwriter Tom McRae has been quietly moving up the ranks of the most respected songwriters in the world today after releasing four critically acclaimed studio albums over the last 9 years.
His eponymous debut album in 2000 was nominated for The Mercury Prize, a Q Magazine Award, and a Brit, and the subsequent two years of touring cemented his reputation as one the most entertaining and powerful artists touring today.
Just Like Blood, his second album was released to wide acclaim, especially in America, where every track was licensed for tv and film use, his style of music fitting perfectly the more darker output of LA’s film studios.
In 2004 McRae moved to LA, and while making his third album, All Maps Welcome, began playing regularly at The Hotel Café venue in Hollywood. The connection McRae made with fellow musicians led to the Hotel Café Tour, a travelling revue show featuring dozens of artists, which annually tours the USA coast to coast, as well as occasional forays into Europe. The tour is something of a phenomenon in the states, providing a forum for new talent that may otherwise be unable to reach a live audience on such a scale.
After signing to V2 in 2006, the following year McRae released King Of Cards, a more upbeat offering than previous albums. The demise of the label during the promotion phase didn’t diminish Tom’s enthusiasm for the fight, and he toured the album twice that year, proving a huge hit at festivals across Europe, recruiting more fans everywhere he went,
Now, after a year away from touring, during which Tom moved back to London from Brooklyn, he is about to release his fifth studio album.
The Alphabet of Hurricanes, an album in two parts, is scheduled for release in September 2009, with a second volume to follow in early 2010. It is McRae’s most ambitious album to date, recorded over three years in studios, hotel rooms, and backstage both in the US and UK. Having set up his own studio, Gunpoint, in east London, McRae has taken charge of the production once again, with his haunting melodies and poetic lyrics given a new sonic palette in an eclectic selection of powerful songs.
Tom will tour the new album with a full band, and - as his fans can attest - for an artist working in a genre often considered by the music press to be “sensitive and self-indulgent” he can take the roof off a venue with his passionate performances, as well as forging a strong humorous bond with his audience.
The Alphabet of Hurricanes Tour and album look set to further add to the cult that is rapidly springing up around this talented and dedicated artist.

MUNDY
STRAWBERRY BLOOD
17th April 2009
Limited Edition Hardback Book CD & Deluxe Edition Download
Dolan’s, Limerick Saturday 20th June
“There are songs that come easily to you and you can’t even explain how they come about. Others are more difficult. You’ve got to listen to your gut and let it out there and see what happens. You just need to be brave.” – Mundy, March 2009
If you thought this boy from Birr, Co Offaly was just about big, bug-eyed pop songs such as July, Mexico, or indeed, the most downloaded song of 2007 & 2008 Galway Girl (and it’s worth repeating that he didn’t write it - Steve Earle did!) then his latest collection boasts fourteen great songs to make you throw all your preconceptions out the window.
This is Strawberry Blood, Mundy’s fourth studio album and most accomplished to date. Recorded in Grouse Lodge, Co Westmeath and the Cauldron, Dublin by Joe Chester, Strawberry Blood features an intriguing cast of contributors including Shane McGowan (Love is Casino), Gemma Hayes (Fever) and Interference man Fergus O’Farrell (Pepper in My Dreams).
Strawberry Blood is the long-awaited follow up to the Number One album Raining Down Arrows (2004). The subsequent tour was documented on Live & Confusion, a stopgap live album and DVD that impressively notched up double platinum sales and delayed Mundy’s return to the studio due to the unexpected success of the live versions of ‘July’ and ‘Galway Girl’.
A chance run-in with Joe Chester at an airport led to a long discussion about recording and mutual favourite music and then to some casual recordings. “Joe’s work was so good,” Mundy remembers. “We tried out a few demos but they sounded like keepers. There was no need to hire a big name name producer.”
The result is a beautiful and uplfiting album that’s a true tonic for the times. “With what’s going on with the country and the world, it’s very easy to be negative and it’s very easy to write negative songs,” Mundy muses. “It’s more challenging to be positive. This album is thought provoking and reflective but fun and upbeat. It’s about taking on a challenge…and God loves a trier.”
